Promotion of Sergeant Glenn A. Davis Jr. to Administrative Lieutenant

We are proud to announce the promotion of Sergeant Glenn A. Davis Jr. to Administrative Lieutenant during last night's public Board of Supervisors meeting.

Lieutenant Davis began his career with the Montgomery Township Police Department in 1993 as a Police Dispatcher. In 1997, he became a Cadet Police Officer, attending the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in Hershey, PA. His career has spanned various roles, including time in the Patrol Division (1997–2017), where he served in the Highway Safety Unit and the Canine Unit. He was promoted to Corporal in 2008, Patrol Sergeant in 2012, and Detective Sergeant in 2017, before becoming the Sergeant of Professional Standards in 2023.

Throughout his career, Lieutenant Davis has held additional roles as a Firearms Instructor, Taser Instructor, Field Training Officer, Accreditation Manager, and Training Coordinator. He has also supervised specialized units, including the Highway Safety Unit, Community Policing Unit, Canine Unit, and Field Training Unit.

Lieutenant Davis brings a wealth of knowledge, management skills, and vision to his new role, which will benefit the Police Department, the Township, and the residents of Montgomery Township.
